Capturing moments of growth, collaboration, and transformation across our diverse training modules.
Real voices from our 14-year journey of transformation.
"I walked into the Leadership Diary Training Program (LDTP) without a clear path for my future. A single session on food security changed everything, sparking a passion for agriculture I never knew I had. Today, I am the Executive Director of the Youth Alliance for Agricultural Transformation (YAFAT) and the founder of my own agribusiness, PHINEN FOODS. My journey has taken me from the lecture halls of KNUST to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, representing Ghana on the global stage. LDTP didn't just give me a career; it gave me the leadership mindset to turn a vision into a reality.""
-Seraphine Makafui Sedziafa LDTP Alumna 2018 & Executive Director, YAFAT
"When I attended LDTP in 2020 as an Architecture student at KNUST, I didn't just attend a workshop—I experienced a complete paradigm shift. It forced me to stop and ask: How can I better myself and my craft for the sake of my continent? I learned that big goals require daily discipline. I made a pact with myself that not a single day would pass without practicing my design skills. By joining the YAO Media Team, I turned that discipline into a service, sharpening a creative edge that directly fueled my success in Architecture. That same commitment led me to graduate as the 2nd Best Student in my Master’s program and eventually become a Teaching Assistant at KNUST. Beyond the skills, LDTP gave me a new tribe. It completely transformed my circle of friends, surrounding me with an inspiring community that believes, as I do, in making Africa the best continent on earth. Today, whether I am acting as a Lead Brand Strategist for renowned authors or coordinating Ideal Africa, I am building on the foundation of excellence I discovered at LDTP."
— Godson Tetteh Akwaada M.Arch, Ideal Africa Coordinator & LDTP Alumnus 2020
"Before attending LDTP 2020 in Kumasi, I was a relatively shy person, often staying within my comfort zone. That changed when we read the story of Jonathan Livingston Seagull. As I moved through the chapters, I felt like I was reading my own life. It inspired me to 'spread my wings and fly' beyond my fears. I decided to do something I never would have dared before: I volunteered with the Youth Arise Organization while pursuing my law degree at the University of Ghana. Serving in the Secretariat and as a Team Coordinator didn't just build my confidence—it sharpened the exact skills I needed for the legal profession. My time at the YAO Secretariat helped me discover my true path in law, proving that when you dare to fly, you find exactly where you're meant to land"
