Success Story: Team Nova

Transforming Agriculture Through FarmLink

Team Nova emerged as a powerful example of youth-led innovation during the 2025 SIC, addressing Ghana’s agricultural inefficiencies.

The Challenge

In Ghana, agriculture employs over 60% of the workforce, yet many smallholder farmers earn less than GHS 1,000 per month. Limited market access and poor distribution lead to up to 30% of harvested crops going to waste.

60% Workforce
30% Crop Waste

The Solution: FarmLink

FarmLink is a digital marketplace connecting farmers directly to buyers. A key innovation is its AI-powered price prediction model which analyzes market trends to recommend fair pricing.

  • Direct Access: Connects farmers to restaurants and retailers.
  • Fair Pricing: AI-driven recommendations to maximize income.
  • SDG Impact: Contributes directly to SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger).
